Corina Bucea is a cultural manager based in Cluj, Romania. She has extensive experience in coordinating cultural projects, arts production and cultural policies. Corina is one of the founding members of the contemporary art space Fabrica de Pensule / The Paintbrush Factory in Cluj, Romania, where she currently works as a program director. Within the Paintbrush Factory Federation, Corina has managed over the last 7 years more than 20 projects on various fields – from visual to performing arts, education and training. Corina has been awarded the Gabriela Tudor Grant for Cultural Managers in 2010. She has been involved in several international projects, being connected with networks such as IETM, Balkan Express, etc. Besides project management and coordination, Corina has initiated art mediation and education programs and has been responsible, during the last 3 years, for the communication of Temps d’Images Festival in Cluj. Corina Bucea has also previously worked in projects representing Romania at the Art and Architecture Venice Biennale – as a project coordinator in 2013 for Alexandra Pirici and Manuel Pelmuș – An Immaterial Retrospective of the Venice Biennale and Selfie Automaton in 2016, as well as a custodian coordinator in 2015 for Adrian Ghenie – Darwin’s Room.
